How does the Arc 3 differ from the Navigator 500/520 series?
While the Navigator series is the “gold standard” for heavy-duty ruggedization (IP66), the Arc 3 is designed for a new class of frontline work. It is significantly lighter (179g vs 270g), features a see-through Micro-OLED display, and utilizes a dual-camera system. It is the ideal choice for environments like logistics, pharmaceuticals, and light manufacturing where all-day comfort and situational awareness are the top priorities
What are the benefits of a “see-through” display?
Unlike the “glanceable” display of the Navigator series, the Arc 3 features a transparent Micro-OLED screen. This allows you to view digital data, AR overlays, and instructions without blocking your line of sight. It provides a more natural way to interact with digital information while maintaining 100% awareness of your physical surroundings.
Does the Arc 3 have the same voice-control capabilities?
Yes. The Arc 3 is 100% voice-controlled and runs on Ari OS (based on Android 13). It features a 4-microphone array with advanced active noise cancellation, allowing you to operate the device hands-free in industrial environments with ambient noise up to 100 dBA.
What makes the dual-camera system special?
The Arc 3 is the first RealWear device to feature two dedicated cameras:
50MP Main Camera: For high-resolution documentation and crystal-clear 4K video.
8MP Wide-Angle Camera: With a 120° field of view, it allows remote experts to see the technician’s entire workspace at once during a Remote Eye session.
Is it compatible with my existing PPE?
Absolutely. The Arc 3 was designed with a modular “Open-Ear” architecture. It can be worn comfortably with prescription glasses, safety goggles, and various headwear. It is also compatible with Peltor-style hearing protection and can be easily clipped into standard industrial hard hats.
Can I charge the Arc 3 quickly between shifts?
Yes. When paired with the Arc 3 Base – Charging Station, the device supports rapid charging, going from 20% to 80% in just 25 minutes. This ensures that even with its lightweight 2000 mAh battery, your fleet is always ready for the next task.
Is the Arc 3 as rugged as other RealWear devices?
The Arc 3 is built for the “industrial light” category. It holds an IP54 rating (protection against dust and water splashes) and is MIL-STD-810H drop-tested to 1 meter. While it isn’t designed for high-pressure washdowns like the Navigator Z1, it is more than tough enough for daily use in warehouses, labs, and factory floors.
Unmatched Comfort: At just 179 grams, it is light enough to be worn for a full 8-hour shift without neck strain or discomfort.
Retina-Level Clarity: The Full HD (1920×1080) Micro-OLED display offers the highest color accuracy and sharpness in the RealWear lineup.
Enterprise Security: Built on a secure Android 13 foundation with support for major MDM (Mobile Device Management) providers for easy fleet deployment.
AI-Ready: The Snapdragon 662 chipset and integrated Awareness Sensor enable the next generation of AI-powered “see-what-I-see” workflows.
